Home / Visitor Information / Celebration Zone accessibility
We want to make New Year’s Eve in the city fun for everyone so we’ve made sure all Celebration Zones are accessible. Please note that grassy, inclined areas in Flagstaff Gardens, Treasury Gardens and Alexandra Gardens may present a challenge however paths adjacent to all areas are accessible. Registered service and companion animals are permitted but be aware of the potential impact from firework noise at 9.30pm and midnight.
For accessible public transport options please visit the PTV website. For information and resources on accessibility in the city visit Accessing Melbourne and Travellers Aid.
If you have an questions, please don’t hesitate to contact email@example.com.

Social Stories support children with disability by preparing them for what they will see, hear and do at an event. They are a way to prepare children for an event, new activity or change to routine. With pictures and simple text, Social Stories help to lessen the anxiety of the new by introducing them to the things that they will see, hear and can do – ahead of time. View the New Year’s Eve Celebration Zones Social Story which is a Microsoft Word document so that it can be customised to meet the individual needs of the families who use them.
